Martina Big, 28, is a German model who spent over $50,000 on surgeries to turn herself into what she believes to be an exotic Barbie.
Since she began her physical journey, Martina’s body has changed quite a bit, to say the least. She now has enormous breast implants that can be inflated to size 32S by pumping saline into them, and her skin has turned a very dark brown because of her tanning addiction.
It all started in 2012, when Martina’s boyfriend told her that she should take up modeling. Martina originally wanted to look like the voluptuous Hollywood star Pamela Anderson, but she later decided that she was “not curvy enough.” As she had more surgeries, Martina came to the conclusion that she wanted to get curvier and “darker and darker and see what the limits are.”
Despite getting backlash from many around the world, Martina says she has no regrets about what she has done to her body.
“I love the contrast of my bright blonde hair and my dark, crispy brown skin,” she said. “I love seeing the reactions of people. I can see their big eyes when I walk past and their shocked faces, thinking ‘how is this possible?\’”
Her boyfriend Michael continues to encourage her, saying he likes the way she looks.
“I hope for the future that Martina will continue inflating her breasts, inflating her lips, getting more tanned and getting big butt implants,” he said, adding that he has gotten tanning injections himself. “I didn’t want to go quite as dark as Martina but I support her and like her new look very much. I am the boyfriend of the woman with the largest breasts in Europe.”
Martina is clearly ignoring all the dangers that can result from injecting herself with Melanotan, which is not approved by the FDA. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that Martina’s beloved tanning beds “cause skin cancers including melanoma (the deadliest type of skin cancer), basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma” as well as “cataracts and cancers of the eye (ocular melanoma).”
However, in Martina’s mind, all of this may be worth it in the hopes of becoming what she believes is the ultimate Barbie…
