Cardi B and Meghan Thee Stallion’s hit collaboration has been taking the world by storm ever since its release in August last year.

The song is riddled with sexual connotations and innuendos from start to finish…

And let’s face it, we all know the lyrics at this point.

And that was just a warm-up.

The rest of the song weighs in on some pretty explicit sexual activity, which I’m not going to write about here – for obvious reasons.

The music video was released, and it blew us all away.

Because Cardi “wanted different types of bad b****es in my video. Black, white, Latin, mix.”

In the days following its release, Cardi excitedly took to Instagram to share that the song had reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and had the most streams in the first opening week in music history.

Oh, and the video has since received more than 360 million views.

Many now even regard “WAP” as one of the most iconic feminist anthems of all time…

With women from al over the world claiming to feel “empowered” by its lyrics.

However, on the other hand…

Many have slammed the track as “inappropriate” and “damaging to feminism”… so, you can only imagine the fury when the duo performed the controversial song live at Sunday’s 2021 Grammys Awards Ceremony.

Megan kicked off their joint performance with a cabaret-style medley of “Body” and her now Grammy-winning smash “Savage”…

Before the opening notes of “WAP” started.

Admittedly, it was a “clean” version of the song, with certain words omitted out from the verses.

However, viewers have still been left outraged by the sexual nature of the choreography, with many claiming that it was way too explicit for a primetime show.

It even led to criticism online from an anti-p**** group labeling the performance “hardcore” p****.”

The group said the “show contributed to the sexual exploitation of women.”

Many others, including conservatives, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens have weighed in on the issue.

And alongside him, Candace agreed with his comments.

“We’ve seen going through the supermarket as a traumatizing experience. We lost Aunt Jemima last year. We lost Land O’Lakes butter last year. We lost Uncle Ben and his rice last year because everything is so traumatizing for children to look at.”

YouTube

“But this? This spectacle? Virtually what we were looking at last night was a lesbian s*x scene being simulated on television, and this is considered feminist. It’s iconic. It’s forward. It’s progressive.”

YouTube

“This is starting, to me, to seem like it’s not even left or right. It’s not a political issue. This seems like an attack on American values, American traditions, and you’re actually actively trying to make children aspire to things that are grotesque.

“We are celebrating perversity in America.”

YouTube

“I think parents should be terrified that this is the direction that our society is heading towards. We are weakening America, that’s really what we should be talking about. This is a weakening of American society … We are about to see the end of an empire. America cannot survive, it can not be sustained, under these sorts of values and principles.”
