The search for Gabby Petito has come to a heartbreaking conclusion. Late on the evening of September 19, FBI Denver supervisory senior resident agent Charles Jones held a press conference.
There, the FBI confirmed human remains consistent with the description of Gabby Petito had been discovered near the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area. Full forensic identification will take days to confirm the identity. Gabby and fiancé Brian Laundrie were traveling the country in a van to start a travel blog when she disappeared.
On September 20, Brian’s parents were removed from their home as local authorities and the FBI served a search warrant on the house. Live updates have shown evidence boxes carried into the taped-off area, with rumors that it’s being classified as a cr!me scene.
FBI agents served a warrant on September 20 to search the Laundrie family home in North Port, Florida. Brian Laundrie, who has not been seen since September 14, was not at the residence. His parents, Chris and Roberta Laundrie, were escorted from the home as the warrant was executed.

Later, they reentered with FBI agents for questioning. Livestreams from the front of the Laundrie home indicate that agents have brought in evidence boxes, as well as food for the 15-plus agents and officers engaging in the investigation, indicating they are there for the long haul.

Mid-afternoon, many watched as a silver Ford Mustang, which had sat in the driveway of the home since late Tuesday evening, was towed from the property. Onlookers believe it is Brian’s car and may have additional evidence.

The Laundrie family home has also been taped off with police tape. Some on the scene have heard authorities qualify the area as a cr!me scene, although further details have not been provided by law enf0rcement.
Many were heartbroken to learn that Gabby is likely to be deceased after remains consistent with her description were discovered on September 19 in a search around the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area in Bridger-Teton National Forest, on the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park. An autopsy is scheduled for September 21, with many hoping it will provide insight into what happened to Gabby.

The search for Brian continues, though authorities have concluded their search of the Carlton Reserve. An attorney for the family has planned a press conference for September 21 at 1 p.m. EST.

Many are fearing the worst when it comes to Brian’s involvement in Gabby’s de*th. Brian returned to Florida without Gabby on September 1 and immediately lawyered up. Bodycam footage showed the two speaking to Moab, Utah, police after a domestic vi0lence call was made by a by$tander who saw the two arguing at a local grocery store.
